Made a cheeky logo device and poster for the extravaganza that is about to happen:

A full photoshoot was planned but the lion cub kept escaping.

See you there!

My mother makes an annual calendar based around the phases of the moon rather than by each month. It’s fantastically creative and she asked me to make a page so I made this one about how to know the phases of the moon. It’ll be available from her stained glass shop in Kingston-Upon-Thames in the next few weeks!

As the creative director of Fieldview Festival, I love making all the random bits and bobs for the festival. Here’s a bunch of stuff I made for this year’s festival.

Fieldview is an organic, independent, charitable, grass-roots festival so the themes and branding always try to encompass the feeling of the outdoors, fun and festivities.

———————————————————-

The most fun was coming up with and designing the ideas for the wristbands:

You are part of the Fieldview Fruitmachine! Everyone gets a random wristband, either of the 5 fruits. You are now that fruit for the whole festival and have to participate in whatever event is going on that coincides with your fruit!

I had a gold ‘super fieldcrew’ one. FTW.

———————————————————-

Working with the brilliant Emma Lewis, here’s [some of] this year’s merch:

———————————————————-

I sent out with every 150th person that came through the gates at FVF a disposable camera.

A Field with a View:

1) take one picture of something beautiful.

2) Go find a complete stranger and hand the camera to them.

3) If you finish the camera roll, hand it to the cake stall (and get a free cake).

7 out of 10 cameras came back and all had a full roll of incredible pictures. Here’s a few of them:

Ben Howard, this year’s headliner had a go too:

———————————————————-

I drew this picture for what I wanted the Dreamland area’s DJ booth to look like:

This is what the incredible Ed Peel, Becca, Charlie Bear and Adlena built me… wow!

———————————————————-

Also at the festival was the birth of the Dreamland Sessions - acoustic one take sessions directed to have an unforgiving but intimate moment with each artist. (Photos by Olivia Hunt)

More pictures to come…

I can’t wait for next year!

The latest Dreamland Session I made with Tinderflint Productions. It has the wonderful Benjamin Francis Leftwich. It was shot with 2 5D’s and a 550D in Charterhouse, London.

Take over this town with the sights of Junior Boys!

*Poster I designed for Goldstar for the Junior Boys’ show coming up in Oslo!

Baddabing!

(Thanks Patrick for mad camera skills) (Tumblr didn’t like the last post, hence the double post, apologies!)

I was asked to design a poster for an upcoming Junior Boys show in Oslo, Norway.
Designed like a patterned wallpaper/wrapping paper, it can be plastered in huge blocks to take over whole walls and boards.

I was asked to make a poster for the wild and wonderful Yelle for her show in Oslo. These posters were printed huge and plastered around town.

Afternoon you beautiful bunch,

As you may know I run Fieldview Festival with my friends and over the last 5 years have grown from 30 people at a garden party to around 2800 people (legally 1999 if anyone asks you) with over 80 artists on 4 stages spread over 3 days. Each year within the festival circuit there are rumours of the ‘one to watch’, a few years ago it was Bestival and secret garden party and after going to an industry launch party last week, apparently this year it’s all about Fieldview. This is awesome on so many levels as we don’t do any marketing or advertising and work solely on word of mouth. We’re different as we all work as volunteers, have no sponsorship and most of the profits go to the charities we believe in.

This year we’ve been entered into the UK Festival awards as best small festival but there’s also one category to vote on which is the ‘fans favorite’. However, we’re up against the giants such as Glastonbury, etc so if every one of our colossal 2800 people who came this year voted, against 2% of Glasto’s 175’000 strong crowd we’d stand no chance so we’re just trying to create a bit of a rumble on the ground.

If you don’t mind sparing 2 mins to vote for Fieldview in the fans favorites i’d be really happy and make you all some tea!

Lewis.
